Dundee City Council grants free parking for electric vehicles

The scheme launched in November 2016 and as of February 2018 – over 370 pure EVs have registered for free parking in council run car parks in Dundee.

Dundee City Council are running the incentive to encourage zero emission vehicles into the city centre (and other busy  areas such as Broughty Ferry and Lochee) where pollution levels are the worst.

A monthly parking permit for Dundee City Council run car parks is £92 month. For those who frequently park in the city, switching to electric could save over £1000 a year in parking alone.

Plug-in hybrids do not need to pay for parking while charging at on street chargers.
